Orchids are a core focus at Golden Point Farms, in partnership with Back to Your Roots. We currently have over 300 species available, with offerings spanning epiphytic and terrestrial growers across hot, intermediate, and cool growing conditions.
We are a mostly species-focused farm - we believe in preserving and propagating well-documented species - but we do also grow a number of hybrids alongside the collection.
What we grow
Our collection emphasizes well-documented species and cultivated divisions, including a number of specimen-size plants. Current highlights include:
- Cattleya bowringiana - a massive specimen in a 5gal pot, plus divisions
- Cattleya mendelii - in 3gal pots, plus divisions
- A growing range of additional species across the Cattleya alliance and beyond
Sizes and availability
We offer plants in a range of sizes, from divisions and growing-on stock through specimen-size mature plants ready for display or further breeding work. Availability shifts through the year as plants are divided, repotted, and brought into bloom.
Mounting & potting supplies
We don’t carry much in the way of tillandsia, but we do stock Spanish moss along with orchid mounting and potting supplies to help you set up new plants - whether they came from us or somewhere else.
